Do you think the technology will erase the world environment/human race/animals etc....?

Because of drastic change in technology improvement, i personally fell there is lots of impact on environment, human race etc....your opinion
Do you think the technology will erase the world environment/human race/animals etc....?
If you're asking if I think that technology will wipe out all humans, or animals, or destroy the environment, I'd say no. Humans are pretty adaptable, and they're clever. They can put together something to let at least a few people survive just about anything that comes along. Even a major meteor strike like the one 70 million years ago might still leave a few pockets of people around, although they'd be living a stone-age lifestyle at best.



I do think that we are affecting our environment, and that more species will go extinct. But I bet if you dropped into the world in 50 years, you'd still see people and animals you'd recognize. You might see new ones that have been genetically engineered, though. Imagine a polar bear that was genetically engineered to remain about the size of a small dog, for example. I bet there would be a huge market for pets like that.
