How did WW2 effect the world after 1945?

What I%26#039;m asking for is how the world changed after the war, whether its poltics, technology, territorial change. I already know that the Iron Curtain and the Cold War started becuase of WWII but I need something different.|||The Soviet Union managed to establish the Warsaw Pact of all the nations east of East Germany, allowing it essentially to create a hegemony of nations completely (if not so well known) under the control of Moscow.

It also laid the framework for a lot of the problems American faced during the cold war, as well as the Uprising in Budapest and Prague, and espionage in East Berlin. Not to mention East Germany being a principle reason for the fall of the USSR in 1991.|||it pushed Germany down into the pits as well as japan but it left the allies especially the USA in a great place for expansion, it also showed nuclear arms which was a major weapons among the survivors of WWII, USA and the USSR, see more at http://bussinessmouse.googlepages.com

Is the world changing for the better or worst?

Do you think our society is changing for better or worst? Taking in consideration everything from the wars, politics, technology, education, morals, the media, etc etc...

What do you think are the main issues for why or why not?|||The world is getting worst and worst each and everyday. Too much crime and war and the media is not helping. Dont even get me started on the education system.|||The world is changing for the better in regards to technology. But, when you really look at it, we aren%26#039;t too different from our predecessors. I think mankind has had the same fundamental issues in every generation.|||Worst...Global warming, technology has both good and bads involved, manners in little kids seem to have gone out the window for the most part due to the fact the parents are too busy to teach them right. And you can start talking about all the sickos and psychos in the world, but they%26#039;ve always been there just not so advertised, because the media is involved in everything these days and lets not get into the publicity they get just from all the people posting stuff on youtube.|||Of course it%26#039;s getting worse. The bible says in the end times, because inequity abounds, the love of many will grow cold. Why is this such a mystery? It%26#039;s been written down for thousands of years, and now we are seeing it fulfilled.|||Considering my children abrupt change of attitudes outside the family there is really a great change|||the world remains the same have you read the bible about this, what will it be like in the times of the end, the world willl not change, society and societies will not change, there will be achievements, but everything will stay the same, love and hate. marrying and giving in marriage, wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in diverse places, really sounds pretty good, not too much to keep up with, all rather simple really and we have been doing a good job so far|||We are living in a hypocrit world. The society is never changing but we assume that it is changing.|||It really depends on what you mean by better or worse. Honestly, those are rather vague descriptions, as one man might think something is better while another may think its worse.

But here is my 2 cents:

Education: In the sense that our youth are being %26quot;taught%26quot; more, you could say that our society, or the world, is getting better. However, at least here in the US, there is more emphasis put on quantity instead of quality. This type of education, simply stuffing facts down young people%26#039;s throats, is not the kind of education that will prepare anyone for the real world and real world issues. Here in the US, the youth are sheilded from the harsh realities in our world. Most people think that they have it bad because (please dont chew me out for this, but im speaking from the experience of my area) they had a fight with their parents, they didnt get their favorite food, or their Burburry purse, but most of these youth have never been in real poverty, and never seen the rough side of life. Therefore, its quantity over quality, whereas it should be the other way around.

Education: worse

Wars, Morals, Politics, the Media, all meshed into one: Once again, I am speaking from my US perspective. The US president gets quite greedy, such as Iraq (oil) and Afghansitan (which, incidentally, has not officially ended yet...not that it officially started), and puts human life in the way of danger for personal gain. The media spins it so that we think he is doing a great service to our country. Morals are fading, sins and everything are going down, etc.

So for all of the above: worse

Technology: better, way better. but when will it stop?

controversy over moral issues like abortion and cloning make technology seem like a bad thing, but is it?

I think not.

Thats about my 2 cents, any questions you know where to find me.

P.S. Sorry about the skimply answers for some of the subjects. This was quite a controversial question based more upon individual definitions of good/bad so i didnt want to elaborate more. But i think that the world can turn its direction, if people would get rid of their vices. The Qu%26#039;ran, Bible, and other holy books say that the world will end in chaos and disaster. Look around. There already is the chaos, and with issues like global warming, excess CO2, etc, the disaster seems to be coming.

Study Shows China as World Technology Leader?

Technology indicators show China ahead of the U.S. in technological standing

Atlanta (January 24, 2008) —A new study of worldwide technological competitiveness suggests China may soon rival the United States as the principal driver of the world’s economy – a position the U.S. has held since the end of World War II. If that happens, it will mark the first time in nearly a century that two nations have competed for leadership as equals.

Chart shows change in technological standing for selected nations from 1993 to 2007.

300 dpi Hi-Res Version

The study’s indicators predict that China will soon pass the United States in the critical ability to develop basic science and technology, turn those developments into products and services – and then market them to the world. Though China is often seen as just a low-cost producer of manufactured goods, the new “High Tech Indicators” study done by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology clearly shows that the Asian powerhouse has much bigger aspirations.

“For the first time in nearly a century, we see leadership in basic research and the economic ability to pursue the benefits of that research – to create and market products based on research – in more than one place on the planet,” said Nils Newman, co-author of the National Science Foundation-supported study. “Since World War II, the United States has been the main driver of the global economy. Now we have a situation in which technology products are going to be appearing in the marketplace that were not developed or commercialized here. We won’t have had any involvement with them and may not even know they are coming.”

Georgia Tech has been gathering the high tech indicators since the mid-1980s, when the concern was which country would be the “next Japan” as a competitive producer and exporter of technology products. The current “HTI-2007” information was gathered for use in the NSF’s biennial report, “Science and Engineering Indicators,” the most recent of which was released January 15.

Georgia Tech’s “High Tech Indicators” study ranks 33 nations relative to one another on “technological standing,” an output factor that indicates each nation’s recent success in exporting high technology products. Four major input factors help build future technological standing: national orientation toward technological competitiveness, socioeconomic infrastructure, technological infrastructure and productive capacity. Each of the indicators is based on a combination of statistical data and expert opinions.

A chart showing change in the technological standing of the 33 nations is dominated by one feature – a long and continuous upward line that shows China moving from “in the weeds” to world technological leadership over the past 15 years.

The 2007 statistics show China with a technological standing of 82.8, compared to 76.1 for the United States, 66.8 for Germany and 66.0 for Japan. Just 11 years ago, China’s score was only 22.5. The United States peaked in 1999 with a score of 95.4.

“China has really changed the world economic landscape in technology,” said Alan Porter, another study co-author and co-director of the Georgia Tech Technology Policy and Assessment Center, which conducted the research. “When you take China’s low-cost manufacturing and focus on technology, then combine them with the increasing emphasis on research and development, the result ultimately won’t leave much room for other countries.”

The United States and Japan have both fallen in relative technological standing – though not absolute measures – because of the dramatic rise of China and other nations such as the “Asian Tigers:” South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. Japan has faltered a bit over time, and if the increasingly-integrated European Union were considered one entity instead of 27 separate countries, it would surpass the United States.

“We are seeing consistent gains for China across all the criteria we measure,” Newman said. “As a percentage mover relative to everyone else, we have not seen a stumble for China. The gains have been dramatic, and there is no real sense that any kind of leveling off is occurring.”

Most industrialized countries reach a kind of equilibrium in the study, moving up slightly in one data set, or down slightly in another. But the study shows no interruptions in China’s advance.

Recent statistics for the value of technology products exported – a key component of technological standing – put China behind the United States by the amount of “a rounding error:” about $100 million. If that trend continues, Newman noted, China will shortly pass the United States in that measure of technological leadership.

China’s emphasis on training scientists and engineers – who conduct the research needed to maintain technological competitiveness – suggests it will continue to grow its ability to innovate. In the United States, the training of scientists and engineers has lagged, and post-9/11 immigration barriers have kept out international scholars who could help fill the gap.

“For scientists and engineers, China now has less than half as many as we do, but they have a lot of growing room,” noted Newman. “It would be difficult for the United States to get much better in this area, and it would be very easy for us to get worse. It would be very easy for the Chinese to get better because they have more room to maneuver.”

China is becoming a leader in research and development, Porter noted. For instance, China now leads the world in publications on nanotechnology, though U.S. papers still receive more citations.

On the input indicators calculated for 2007, China lags behind the United States. In “national orientation,” China won a score of 62.6, compared to 78.0 for the United States. In “socioeconomic infrastructure,” China rated 61.2, compared to 87.9 for the United States. In the other two factors, China also was behind the U.S., 60.0 versus 95.5 for “technological infrastructure” and 85.2 versus 93.4 for “productive capacity.”

China has been dramatically improving its input scores, which portends even stronger technological competitiveness in the future.

“It’s like being 40 years old and playing basketball against a competitor who’s only 12 years old – but is already at your height,” Newman said. “You are a little better right now and have more experience, but you’re not going to squeeze much more performance out. The future clearly doesn’t look good for the United States.”

Technology changing our lives?

Is Technology changing our lives??

i know this is long but please read it!!!!!!!

wow we are in class now talkin about how everyone would die if their cell phones got taken away.

(and im 16 by the way) and my phone got taken 2 years ago. and i havent had it since! at first i thought i would die! but thn after aout a month i was over it! things have been rocky at my house and i dont thin kmy parents ar ereally in the right situation to afford for me to have on eright now.

but ive learned that cell phone and technology arent everything.

and when i see my friends and how everyone%26#039;s so into %26quot;oh leeme text%26quot; and all of that im just like...%26quot;wow imagine them without their phones%26quot;

basically im jus tsayin that the world is definately changing.

and if everything keeps getting s digital then their willl be less jobs and no one will be able to support their families and pay their bills.

i mean look at apple. it practically changed the music industry for the better and now they have this new iPAD tablet thing. im just in an aww at how much our world has changed us. i cant wait to see the world about 50 years from now.

im a very wise 16 year old and i think i might be just one of a few teens left without a phone. but i just wanna hear your thoughts|||Our lives change technology. Technology is just fancy gadgets based out of supply and demand. Without facebook/myspace... ppl would just stand by the water coolers at work (or gather in groups at school). Without computer games, geeks would sit in their rooms playing dungeons %26amp; dragons (or playing with their Star Wars action figures). Without cars ppl would travel on horseback or ride a bike. Go to Lancaster, PA or rural Texas. Ppl can live without technology. Technology fills a void in our lives...sometimes, the easy access of technology causes us to fill our voids with cheap stuff rather than quality stuff. This stuff can be spending time with family and friends face to face rather than over a computer chat -- or playing with a real life pet rather than raising a virtual pet on a computer. So my answer would be no, technology does not change our lives. We (our lives) change technology.

What changes in technology happened in World War I?

Air to air combat, air to ground combat, heavier artillery and longer ranges with improved accuracy. Tanks. Dreadnoughts and U-boats.|||new weapons were made for combat. Like the tank for example, submarines, and machine guns. Plains were now made to fight in air warfare as well.|||Dont forget the chemical warfare with mustard gas.|||At first, huge zeppelins were used to spy on the enemy, to carry stuff around, etc. But then people discovered how easily they were shot down. So the airplane was used, for spying, at first. Then somebody dropped small bombs (grenades) on the enemy from above. Somebody else brought along a gun to shoot at other planes. A problem very quickly appeared: how to shoot at the enemy and not shoot off your propeller at the same time. The problem was resolved and the fighter plane was officially born.

At first, horses were used to carry and pull things around. But as the war went on, the gasoline/diesel engine replaced them. One very good thing resulted from this: before WW1, the United States did not have a very good road system nor did it have very good road maps. Europe did, and the guys from the States learned the value of a good road system by marching up and down France. When they got home, the official road building programs began in earnest.

Has technology has changed the world for the better?

Today while riding the bus home, I thought my iPod had skipped. I was appalled, but then noticed that my head phones had merely became unplugged. Relieved, I plugged them back in and resumed listening. However, this expierence left me wondering. At that time, the electronical conents of my back pack were as follows: A Nintendo Ds, Mario Kart Ds, Yoshi Touch N%26#039; Go Ds, Tetris Ds, Animal crossing Ds, Metroid Prime Ds, Super Mario Ds, Mario and Luigi Parterns in Time Ds, A 1 gb flash drive, Motorola Razr, iPod ( not in my back pack, but I was listening to it ), a Sony HandyCam, and a few other things. Well, about 50 years ago, none of these technologies exsisted and yet the world managed to function peacefully. Yet now teens freak if they don%26#039;t get cell reception for five minutes. We rarely communicate face to face and more and more %26quot;lovers%26quot; are united via the internet. Is this a good thing?|||Kelly, do not act like you know everything if you cannot spell simple words such as %26quot;break%26quot; and %26quot;want to%26quot;. Also, the phrase %26quot;...causing some family%26#039;s...%26quot; is grammatically incorrect. So do not answer if you wish to be a total noob about it. Now, to answer the posed question.

%26quot;BlueDevilCheer%26quot; has asked a question that has been raging through churches and scientific labs for several years now. With out new technology, we wouldn%26#039;t have cures for diseases and inventions that make our lives easier. On the flip side of this proverbial coin, who%26#039;s to say that with out some of this new technology, various bacteria wouldn%26#039;t exist? Massive pollution due to factories and cars alike have caused forms of lung cancer and other infections. Hundreds of years ago, these cancers that we hear about every day were never even mentioned.

Children playing video games is a quirky phenomenon. It is not a bad thing, especially when comparing to a lesser alternative such as smoking or drinking, which many teens do. However, adults tend to compare it to something that could be better for their children: Physical Labour/ Exercise. It seems that children of this generation are more concerned about the latest next gen console than political events. A vast majority of teens are linked merely through telecommunications networks such as My Space, Xanga, and Facebook. I believe that to be an entirely unacceptable approach to making friends. If you cannot say something to a person%26#039;s face, do not say it on the Internet. I%26#039;m not just talking about degrading terms here, either. Consider this: When you read the average teenager%26#039;s My Space, scroll down until you see the comment section. There is a ninety percent guarantee that someone the user has never met before has left a comment there saying how much they %26quot;f*cking love ya%26quot;, or something else to that general meaning. Now move on to the %26quot;pictures%26quot; section. I%26#039;m sure you will see what the emo My Space whores like to call the %26quot;mirror shot%26quot;. No explanation necessary. I can assure you that people have left comments about that picture stating what %26quot;beautiful eyes%26quot; that person has or something of the sort. Would you really go up to that person in real life and just start complimenting them randomly? I think not. Could we please just meet people in person?

The answer to that question is an apparent %26quot;no%26quot; according to T.V. networks. It is getting dam* near impossible to sit through some horrible reality TV show with out an %26quot;E-Harmony%26quot; commercial popping up. If a person is that much of a pathetic weakling in their home town, what makes them so much more ******* desirable through an LCD monitor? Nothing. Yes, sites do bring people together that would have otherwise never have met, but think about the reverse side of this. I%26#039;ll give you a situation. %26quot;Bob%26quot; has no friends in his hometown of %26quot;Blackburg%26quot;. However, there is a girl that works with him, %26quot;Jane%26quot;, that really likes him. Well, Bob doesn%26#039;t know this and he decides one day to log onto a web-dating-service Web site. He meets the %26quot;love of his life%26quot;, %26quot;Kimmy%26quot;. They get married and Bob even has the audacity to invite Jane to the wedding. Eighteen months later, Kimmy and Bob are divorced and Kimmy ran away with all of Bob%26#039;s possessions. Bob has sworn off women for life. What would have happened if Bob had talked to Jane? Well, he wouldn%26#039;t have met Kimmy in intimate ways, that%26#039;s for sure. Oh, I suppose you could take Bob%26#039;s side and say %26quot;Why didn%26#039;t Jane let Bob know her feelings for him%26quot;. Maybe Jane was shy and couldn%26#039;t say those things to his face. Hell, maybe she should have just gotten a My Space so she could flatter him with a mysterious name like %26quot;SuchALyingSmile69%26quot;.|||If you think technology has made this world less, then I suggest taking up a new hobby- letter writing. It seems to be a forgotten art. I think people would appreciate getting a handwritten letter.|||I think that it is good in the way that it makes life easier and more enjoyable, but it is also bad in the fact that it makes people lazier and depend on these things|||Its sort of a catch 22. While technology has made things easier and more glamorous, it has made us as a human race lazy as hell!... If only there was something to make people get up get out and do something|||some techno stuff is very useful for example, i don%26#039;t know how i would have any time for a social life if i had to do all my research and coursework by hand, even my mum had a typewriter to help her! and my phone is my life line cos if I%26#039;m in trouble or some1 needs me for something important they can get me just like magic!

i don%26#039;t agree with all the techno stuff in the world tho, somethings do more harm that good, like video games, i remember when i was a kid and me a my family would play a board game to pass the time, but now all kids wanna do is go and play a violent game on the Xbox or the PS2, it is causing some family%26#039;s to brake down in communication!

so it is all good in moderation!

What do you think the world will be like in the next 300 years?

Because the world has changed alot technology wise since then. I mean back then our only source of transportation was walking or taking a horse. Now we have cars, trains, buses, etc. And our weapons are way stronger. And back then for long distance cooperation the only choice was using a letter. Now we have the computer and cell phones. Ya, so what do you guys think the world will be like in the next 300 years?|||I know, I don%26#039;t know how a feel about 3D TV%26#039;s, that%26#039;s a little much !

In 300 years, they may have cars that drive for you !

[THEY ALREADY HAVE CARS THAT PARALLEL PARK FOR YOU!]|||a lot like the movie idiocracy once pot is legal everywhere|||god will come back before then so i%26#039;m not really that concerned.|||No humankind left. We destroy ourselves over religion. Insects take over, realize there is no God.|||Due to a nuclear war, civilization will be destroyed. If you want to see the future, go to Papua New Guinea.|||The poor will just keep on getting poorer as the rich will continue to exploit natural resources for there own gain until there will be nothing left. All off this will become a huge free for all and only the strongest will survive if at all mankind does survive.|||Flying Cars.

Thereby, lots of air crashes.|||i don%26#039;t know but i sure in hell want be here neither any of my family or friends

What would the world be like in the next 300 years?

Because the world has changed alot technology wise since then. I mean back then our only source of transportation was walking or taking a horse. Ya, so what do you guys think the world will be like in the next 300 years?|||Unpredictable, I think.|||Realistically, we dont even know if people will be around 300 years from now. So perhaps it could just be a world without humans.|||They are right..it%26#039;s unpredictable...maybe the world will be empty...without human...no cars..no technology who%26#039;s creating the worse and great things today...maybe, World will be the Aliens place....we don%26#039;t know...300 years?..that%26#039;s a long journey.....|||Incorporeal. The way things are going, it%26#039;s likely we will merge with technology and just exist as electrical patterns within complicated machinery. It would definitely help us explore the galaxy more without physical constraints.

New technology that will change the world????

I%26#039;m doing a project and I need to talk about a new technology that will change the world. Helpp

??

Do you have any ideas about what new technologies I could talk about????|||smaller and smaller computers, robot surgery, better medical technology, cloning, DNA discoveries, look up any diseases that have been cured in the last decade, technology made this happen.|||Carbon Nano-tubes is pretty interesting if you ask me.

I would also think about hydrogen technology and renewable energy resources.

Describe how you think GPS technology has changed the world?

GPS has a variety of applications on land, at sea and in the air. The most common airborne applications are for navigation by general aviation and commercial aircraft. At sea, GPS is also typically used for navigation by recreational boaters, commercial fishermen, and professional mariners. Land-based applications are more diverse. The scientific community uses GPS for its precision timing capability and position information.

Surveyors use GPS for an increasing portion of their work. GPS offers cost savings by drastically reducing setup time at the survey site and providing incredible accuracy. Basic survey units, costing thousands of dollars, can offer accuracies down to one meter. More expensive systems are available that can provide accuracies to within a centimeter.

Recreational uses of GPS are almost as varied as the number of recreational sports available. GPS is popular among hikers, hunters, snowmobilers, mountain bikers, and cross-country skiers, just to name a few. Anyone who needs to keep track of where he or she is, to find his or her way to a specified location, or know what direction and how fast he or she is going can utilize the benefits of the global positioning system.

GPS is now commonplace in automobiles as well. Some basic systems are in place and provide emergency roadside assistance at the push of a button (by transmitting your current position to a dispatch center). More sophisticated systems that show your position on a street map are also available. Currently these systems allow a driver to keep track of where he or she is and suggest the best route to follow to reach a designated location.

Also it has use in construction and agriculture, saves money increases crop yields.|||It hasn%26#039;t. Most people don%26#039;t use it. I have no GPS devices and just offhand I don%26#039;t know anyone who has any for sure. There are probably still a lot who have not even heard of it or have very little idea (or interest in) what it does even though it has been around 20 years or so. When it becomes very common it may %26quot;change the world%26quot;. That has not happened yet.

Explain, How the new technology of world war I changed landscape of conflict?

please explain|||From Shmoop History/World War I

World War I was so deadly primarily because it saw the use of nineteenth-century military tactics with twentieth-century technology.

World War I introduced machine guns, modern artillery and airplanes to the battlefield. Railroads made the supply of vast, stationary armies possible, and even the taxi cabs of Paris were employed to bring men to the front in 1914. Horses were removed from the battlefield except as beasts of burden, and tanks entered service in 1916. But the most destructive weapon of World War I was invented in DeKalb, Illinois in 1874 to help cattle farmers keep control of their flocks. Farmer Joseph Glidden invented a useable form of barbed wire after seeing an example at a county fair.|||The tank meant more mobility and the beginning of mechanization of the military.

Mustard gas meant having to adapt and was the beginning of chemical warfare.

The first machine guns were used.|||Machine guns meant that you simply could not charge the other guys%26#039; front lines without willing to take a lot of casualties. Eventually, late in the war tanks were introduced. Tanks meant that you could charge the front lines (with Tank).

The Airplane meant that not only could you get an aerial view of what the other guy was doing it also meant that you had a new front: the air that you had to have superiority in.

The Submarine was a way to disrupt the other guy%26#039;s shipping without ships.

All of these weapons mentioned meant more than ever, that the country with the largest industrial base was the country that was most likely to win.|||the machine gun was not new, but its use changed the way wars were fought. You just couldn%26#039;t line up your troops and march them over to the enemy.

barbed wire was used to protect trenches

airplanes went from basicly the wright brothers early models to fighters and bombers in 4 years.

tanks were used for the first time

poison gas was used.

the %26quot;creeping barage%26quot; came into play

the lethal submarines changed the way goods and men where shipped: convoys.

How does science and technology changed the world views and human values of the youth?

pls help me answer..|||Values have dropped and children are much more lazy then when technology was minimal. But children learn at a much faster pace nowadays.

How will u change the world by technology?

the answer should be related to technology not political|||I will create advanced organizational tools on the internet, such as those for car-sharing, trip planning, house hunting, cost estimation, health information, academic discussions, unbiased news and opinions, global communications and other things, which will make our lives a lot more convenient.

As long as you know what you want, and have some details, this technology will tell you accurately how to get it.|||I would create the required infrastructure in various villages and underdeveloped localities to impart the right education that children are deprived of as education is the factor that can truly change the world.

With the right education and by incorporating a multi cultural thinking in children by using the latest technologies such as multimedia, i think we could do a lot better.

How did technology change the world?

I think your question should be how does technology change the world as it is doing so every hour of every day. You posted this question with a computer which was the stuff of science fiction only thirty years ago. Technology is advancing so fast your computer was probably obsolete a week after you bought it.|||Well, let%26#039;s just think about that. Duh! When I was a child no such thing as colour tv. Now we have computers, mobile phones, www, digital tv, sat navs.............does that give you a few ideas?

In the world of technology, how life-altering will this be?

Intel Cuts Electric Cords With Wireless Power System

SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) - Intel on Thursday showed off a wireless electric power system that analysts say could revolutionize modern life by freeing devices from transformers and wall outlets.

Intel chief technology officer Justin Rattner demonstrated a Wireless Energy Resonant Link as he spoke at the California firm%26#039;s annual developers forum in San Francisco.

Electricity was sent wirelessly to a lamp on stage, lighting a 60 watt bulb that uses more power than a typical laptop computer.

Most importantly, the electricity was transmitted without zapping anything or anyone that got between the sending and receiving units.

%26quot;The trick with wireless power is not can you do it; it%26#039;s can you do it safely and efficiently,%26quot; Intel researcher Josh Smith said in an online video explaining the breakthrough.

%26quot;It turns out the human body is not affected by magnetic fields; it is affected by elective fields. So what we are doing is transmitting energy using the magnetic field not the electric field.%26quot;

Examples of potential applications include airports, offices or other buildings that could be rigged to supply power to laptops, mobile telephones or other devices toted into them.

The technology could also be built into plugged in computer components, such as monitors, to enable them to broadcast power to devices left on desks or carried into rooms, according to Smith.

%26quot;Initially it eliminates chargers and eventually it eliminates batteries all together,%26quot; analyst Rob Enderle of Enderle Group said of Intel%26#039;s wireless power system.

%26quot;That is potentially a world changing event. This is the closest we%26#039;ve had to something being commercially available in this class.%26quot;

Previous wireless power systems consisted basically of firing lightning bolts from sending to receiving units.

Smith says Intel%26#039;s wireless power system is still in an early stage of development and much research remains before it can be brought to market.

Rattner spoke of technological transformations he expects by the year 2050.

%26quot;You%26#039;d like to cut the last cord,%26quot; Smith said.

Science also teaches that one should always question old beliefs and challenge our notions of what is real. this fosters a willingness to change one%26#039;s views and gain greater insights about everything, including religion, politics, and family.|||well ill help you out just this once i think technology changes young minds because they become to dependent on everything else just imagine if this were the 1940%26#039;s there probably wasnt as many sources to look to for projects and such they really had to hit the books and go to the library now a days we can have any question anwsereda t the tip of our fingers by using the internet personally i think we as the new generation are being very lazy|||There are two distinct aspects of technology today - one is that with instant world wide communication, there is a real global %26quot; truth%26quot; that is shared - no one ideology or religious view is safe from the views and opinions of others - or from the real world news from around the world. The other aspect is a global %26quot; spam%26quot; that allows large corporations and governments to spread information - real or not - instantly to purvey %26quot; spin %26quot; on anything they wish. I would think that with the advent of the telephone, or the TV, the same process took place, but with the internet, the INCREDIBLE, HUGE, amount of information that is available, outweighs the negative aspects. It is interesting to note that in CHINA, the government illegally %26quot;cloaks%26quot; addresses, and re-routes searches, for example on GOOGLE, to Chinese GOVERNMENT controlled computers, which has gotten world- wide attention ( negative ) - but on the same token, if anyone NOT living in the U.S. types in google.com, GOOGLE, illegally re-routes the address, using cloaking etc. ( which they say that if customers use, will cause the customers to be instantly banned ), and google sends the .COM to the Google . ( COUNTRY ), say google.UK, or whatever, without informing the user. ... Thus, only information on the %26quot; government approved%26quot; server of that country is available... so that google is actually part of the miss-information that it outlaws.... a grunt breaking down a lumber pile gives them enough work to keep them buisy until we can find them something more there skill level to do. thats where most good carpenters came from, grunts. but now there in the way, and screwing things up. i know that you dont learn unless you do, but if there is too much to learn in one period of time, it kinda erases what they have already learned. we have a period of a month before they get to do that same thing again, and by then they have forgotten. now that i have compleetly veered off course, do you want younger people.

insted of going out and playing kids are sitting at computers and video games and television and it is making them fat and lazy. i had an nintendo whin growing up and the dang thing never got played with. i didnt watch much television either. i was out running the streets, having fun with friends and getting into trouble like a good kid should. but not kids now, little jimmy jimmy gets bored and he sits on his fat *** and plays his x-box untill time for dinner, after dinner where does he go, right back to the video games. another thing, i never got a ride from my parents. i walked to school, rain, snow or sun, i walked to my friends houses. and even through high school, when there was a bus i could ride, i still walked. why? because it kept me from being lazy, it kept me in good health. i rarely was sick as a child and i blame it on all the walking and excersise i got as a child. there was no a.d.d. or a.d.h.d. why? because i was out burning all my energy up doing kid stuff.

i notice that parents are more willing to keep there kids inside all the time, where its safe from strangers, doped up infront of the television getting fatter by the day rather than boot them outside and tell them to play. but what about the sick people that take kids and do sick **** to them, it still happens!!! kids have been taken from front yards without anyone knowing.

i guess that a few hours infront of the television saturday morning or playing a game for a little while after their homework is done isnt bad but these are not babysitters. kids need excersise, which they wont get from technology.

How did technology change the nature of fighting World War I and compare World War I to previous wars.?

New weapon systems in World War I.

- Poison gas (heavily used by both sides)

- Machine guns (forced trench warfare)

- The first battle tanks were used

- High explosive artillery

- Pillbox defenses (trench warfare)

Unlike previous wars, World War I was remarkably stagnant. Both sides built huge trench systems along France and fought trench to trench. It was a total bloodbath, but because of machine guns and poison gas, troops couldn%26#039;t move around as easily as they could in the past.

The problem was, that with the new technology, armies could make an invincible defense, but offense maneuvers would be suicide. This was mainly due to the use of machine guns combined with bad offensive tactics. Squads would get out of their trenches and try to storm the other sides%26#039; trenches only to run into a wall of machine gun fire. So they would just sit in their trenches, bombing each other to smithereens. It made the war EXTREMELY costly.|||Someone needs to do their own homework.

What do you think about adopting the most advanced technology to support poverty in India?

Technology can change world as its been changing in past and present and in future. My question is how can we take this technology to people who have less than 2 dollars a day. If you did think about it in past please let me know your ideas. i am serious about working on this|||Well, practically speaking, you can%26#039;t. Or rather it would require a total reordering of society.

The poverty in India and China is pretty crushing, and while the marketplaces might seem vast, in fact they are not.

This is not to suggest that the situation is hopeless but it IS to suggest that high technology has increasing disadvantages in dealing with problems which are addressed more effectively with other techniques.

For instance, severe poverty is usually compounded by at least three other problems.

1. Absence of education or denial of educational opportunities to the poor.

2. Suppression of human rights - usually women but often times sections of society are discriminated against - 20th century blacks in the US, Tutsi%26#039;s in Rwandan society, the majority of Chinese peasantry vs. Han ethnic ideas, and of course India is not without it%26#039;s own issues with caste discrimination.

3. Maslow identified basic needs of the individual, safety , food, shelter, etc. Oftentimes, regular access to adequate resources along these lines are lacking, so better infrastructures for sanitation, clean food and water, as well as housing are FAR more important to improving the situation in many parts of the world.

Technology has and will continue to change the world of medicine. What does this mean for physicians?

For example, the technology of robotic surgery is rapidly changing the field of general surgery. Perhaps in the future, it may completely eliminate the need for surgeons altogether. Which fields would be immune from being replaced by technology?|||The best doctors who care about patients have always hoped to become obsolete. However like the original plan for the health service in 1948,when it was thought that treating disease would make the costs fall as everyone would get better,as we treat, manage of even abolish certain conditions, new ones seem to replace them.|||It means that physicians %26amp; health-care workers in general, must constantly strive to to reeducate themselves! Especially as it applies to their own field of expertise. There are many tools available to aide in this endeavor %26amp; medical as well as nursing licenses require mandatory education for renewal.|||Doctors of any stripe aren%26#039;t going to be replaced. They%26#039;ll just adapt. No matter how well a robot in the future performs technically, the surgeon will still be there to back it up, for the very simple reason that people aren%26#039;t themselves machines, and the complexity of human beings requires a certain artistry as well as technical expertise.|||Robotic surgery is the use of robots in performing surgery. Three major advances aided by surgical robots have been remote surgery, minimally invasive surgery and unmanned surgery. Major advantages of robotic surgery are precision, miniaturization, smaller incisions, decreased blood loss, less pain, and quicker healing time. Further advantages are articulation beyond normal manipulation and three-dimensional magnification.|||You can take any teenager off the street and teach him to be a good technician. What you cannot teach is judgement. They have a long way to go before they get a computer that comes anywhere close to the human brain. We will learn the new technologies, as we have been doing for quite a while now.|||No. A robot cannot do things a humans can. Robotic surgery is excellent for reducing error, speeding up recovery time, putting less strain on the surgeon, and allows for good precision; but it is very expensive and not all hospitals can afford to use it. Money is a big issue in the healthcare industry right now! Surgeons and doctors will always be a vital part of medicine. I don%26#039;t thinks fields will ever be completely replaced by technology... people always need people, but revolutionary technology will help advance care, treatment, and open new doors.|||First of all, robotic surgery does not eliminate physicians. The surgeon sits in the room and operates the robotic arms, and has to be ready to open if things go bad. Robotic surgery will not eliminate the need for surgeons.

What technology does is improve safety and accuracy in medicine. Technology helps us work better and more efficiently, but will never replace the human brain, which is the most important medical tool.

How did new technology change warfare? (world war one)?

how did new technology change warfare in the first world war? can anyone help me??|||Well, take a look at the airplane. Entering the war it was pretty much viewed as just an observation platform. It was the pilots and observers who lead to real changes there. They realized that the other side was doing the same thing so if they took up some guns they could try shooting down the opposing side%26#039;s observervation planes. Also they realized that small hand held bombs or percussion grenades could be dropped on enemy lines from the air. Both these realizations lead directly to the development of the fighter, which was built specifically to shoot down other aircraft, and the bomber, which was built specifically to attack enemy troops and cities.

Fighters also offered the option to strafe enemy positions. Machine guns during WWI were even more bulky than they are today and thusly a bit like field artillery of about fifty years prior. That is to say it could be mobile but you more set it up in one position and left it there rather than move it forward. Yet fighters were a mobile machine gun platform that actually allowed the guns to be used offensively against the enemy rather than defensively as they were on the ground.

And bombers weren%26#039;t merely short range aircraft carrying light loads. By the end of the war you had bombers that could remain aloft for about eight hours and carry upwards of 7,500 lbs of bombs.|||The Tank was invented during world war 1.|||Think communications.|||Key issue: everyone expected a short, decisive war and instead they got years of trench deadlock.

This was because the defensive had become far more powerful than the offensive: it was almost impossible to successfully attack.

This situation was the result of technology: the repeating rifle (which allowed accurate fire out to over 500 metres, compared to under 100 metres fifty years earlier); the machine gun; %26#039;quick-firing%26#039; artillery, which specifically means an artillery gun that can fire repeatedly without having to be re-aimed every shot. These made it much easier to defend than attack.

These created the situation the warring nations found themselves in. They tried technologies to get their attacks going again, including flamethrowers, poison gas, and tanks (armoured vehicles).

Also contributing in a wide sense were railways and aeroplanes, which allowed rapid movement of armies and for excellent observation of the enemy.

Another way to look at the question is very broadly: WW1 was the first war between nations... not just their armies, but their whole economic and financial resources, with the whole national effort going toward the war. Industrialisation, colonisation and mass transport (steamships) and communication (electric telegraph) all created this situation, with the war being on a huge scale, lasting for years and destroying so much. So in this sense industrial technology and the organisation of society around it was the key thing, not a particular weapon.|||It was the industrial scale of warfare never before seen.

Trains could transport hundreds of thousands of troops to battlefields whereas in the American Civil War it was tens of thousands.

Industrial capacity could provide for huge armies supplied with food, ammunition, and weapons - - numbers of armed soldiers never before seen.

Automatic weapons - machine guns - first used.

Tanks, airplanes, submarines - all first used in WWI.|||Try asking this question instead: how did war change technology?

Wars bring about technology changes by showing a need in the field.

Tanks were talked about before the war, as a kind of moving fortress. But the war made industry creat a way to make them work.

Airplanes had military uses before WWI. The first ones were used as scouts, watching enemy movements or finding enemy positions. But the war brought about aerial combat. The first attempts to put machine guns on planes tended to shoot the propellers off the plane, Not good at 1000 feet, or at any altitude. So they developed a way to make the guns fire in sync with the propellers.

WWi had little effect on infantry weapons at the time, but it had some effect on the weapons of WWII. The light machine gun and submachine gun were developed from WWI experience and used with great effect in WWII by all sides.

The Axis poweres were still using WWI rifles in WWII but the US began using the automatic Garrand M1 which was a semiautomatic rifle which while not quite as accurate at 1000 yards as the Mousser, was more than accurate enough at 500 yards and very little infantry action took place at more than 500 yards.

But my point is that warfare changes technology before technology changes warfare.|||Trains, telegraphs, tanks, aircraft, and machine guns were new to European warfare, though trains and telegraphs were a staple for our Civil War.

The net effect of all of this technology was that huge armies could be mustered and fielded. Since the generals of the day mostly did not appreciate the effects of the new weapons, absolutely huge casulties resulted. Look up Passiondale.

Is world is changing with all this technology e.g. mobile phones, msn, myspace.?

what ever happended to the day were we would say something to someones face. kids these day are begining to be out of control. just want your thoughs on this|||Humans have more %26amp; more devices. By using these devices, communication is now a techological thing.

Unfortunately, it has become rare, to actually talk to a person face-to-face. Pen %26amp; paper are almost obsolete.

Parents have to make ends meet by working more hours %26amp; more jobs to prevent their homes from being a foreclosure stat. Not to mention paying down/eliminating credit card debt.

Therefore, children are feeling the brunt of isolation %26amp; fast food.

Yes, things %26amp; humans have gotten outta control, yet we must not forget, none of this happened overnight.

It may sound harsh, but this is reality %26amp; I, SustagurL2 am a realist!

I keep it real!|||i agree these days i think it makes people more lazy and spoiled, and they can even hide there feelings by texting instead of actually talking

don%26#039;t get me wrong i have one but im not attached to them like all the other teens are,its overrated to me|||%26quot;kids these day are begining to be out of control%26quot;

Thank you for the generalization, I%26#039;m 15 and I don%26#039;t use a mobile phone or have an account on facebook, myspace or any other %26quot;social network%26quot; sites than Yahoo Answers.

If you are a grown man who has English as a first language you should be ashamed of your English skills, a 15 year old foreigner from an area which you Americans/British/Australians usually call barbaric and undeveloped speaks better English than you.|||Yeah that%26#039;s why people are so fat these days. Back in the good old days you would have to get up on ur *** and go see the person. These days you just sit in front of a computer screen eating junk and talking by typing. I personally like to get up off mu butt and go to the persons house. Mobile phones are different, They are just simply a phone that%26#039;s portable but whats the point in having one if you have a perfectly good hone in your home. I don%26#039;t have a mobile phone myself.

So in conclusion msn chatrooms etc. are a piece of ****!

Computer technology that is going to change the world?

Hi

I am planning to take a seminar on computer technology that is going to change the world. Programmers in my company going to attend the confrence. Please sugest me latest advancement in computer technology that will change the programmers world.|||Further to the other guys comment:

Not just multi core cpu- but the reduction of the chip size in the current CPUs. Shrinking the chip size is allowing applications that weren%26#039;t possible before.

Compare the iPad to the apple newton. Wow, that%26#039;s different. A fully functional portable computing unit. Smaller=lower heat=lower power usage. We%26#039;re making computers viable for more applications. 30 years ago any school/business that wanted a computer lab had to build a special heating/cooling room to regulate the temp in the server room. my Alma mater had to import a diesel system from Germany and remove a wall in the basement to bring it in to control the temperature in their server room. Server room.. that%26#039;s getting to be passe too. You don%26#039;t need a full room anymore.

Smaller size=less temperature=less lag=more programming power.|||Multi-Core CPUs are doing it right now.|||We can%26#039;t predict the future... things are moving towards 64-bit code and multi-core processors, but that%26#039;s hardly %26quot;new%26quot; technology...

What needs to change in the world relating to computers/technology?

I have to write a paper relating to my major, which is computer science, and it has to be about a call for change. Basically, I can%26#039;t think of anything that needs to be changed about technology and a little help would be nice.|||I for one would like to see the complete transition to 64 bit software.

How has the technology (in all ways) in the nature of warfare changed since world war 1?

I%26#039;m trying to get a brief explanation of how planes, gas techniques, tanks- (world war 1), radars and anti-radars (world war 2), helicopters, chemical warfare (cold war)... i%26#039;m very confused. how has this kind of technology changed/improved since world war one. can you also include an example to compare with so that it is much easier to understand.|||The simple answer is that just about every weapon we use now is faster than the WW1 version. WW1 tanks went about 3 - 4 mph. Modern tanks can go 50 - 60 mph. A modern fighter jet can go over 10 times faster than a WW1 fighter airplane. Rifles in WW1 were bolt action, you had to move a bolt between each shot. Modern rifles are almost all automatic. They fire bullets much faster.

Radar and helicopters didn%26#039;t exits in WW1. Radar started just before World War 2, helicopters just after WW2. They did use poison gas (chemical warfare) in WW1, but it wasn%26#039;t a very effective weapon.

Has technology changed the world for better of for worse?

This is for my world issues GCSE project and i would be very pleased if anyone could post their opinions to help, i will put them in my project. Thank you. |||It makes the world better! See, I am typing this with artificial hands. How has technology changed the world of arts...?

How do you think technology has changed the world of arts..? if you have any links to good website that would be great.

thnx.|||I think one of the key things is that it has made the arts more accesible which, in turn, increases the level of inspiration that people gather.

you know have someone in cali drawing inspiration from a tokyo based company/design firm.

Computers and everything they are in have also made it easier to learn and improve on skills since you can find almost anything on the internet.|||Computers and computer graphics, digital cameras, digital animation, etc, surround sound, better TV%26#039;s and theatre screens, ..have made %26quot;worlds%26quot; possible that we could only dream of..come %26quot;alive%26quot;...like we%26#039;ve never been able to before...the applications are endless...new %26quot;ground is broken%26quot; every day...

It%26#039;s exciting to live in a world where you know the possibilities are endless...

How has technology changed our World? Have the changes been positive orhave they been negative?why orwhy not?

Because of the techonology, the world is now very different from the way it was in the past. How has technology changed our world? have the changes been positive or have they been negative? Explain your answer.|||*Very* loaded question there. I think there are plenty of arguments for positive and negative, and they are mostly interrelated.

Thinking about technology related to health. Finding cures, developing technology like pacemakers, gastric bypass surgery, MRIs, chemotherapy, all mean that people are living longer. Great, we get to have our loved ones with us for that much longer.

But having only one Earth with such a limited amount of space...it gets more and more crowded. People are living longer, and are thus using up more resources. Deforestation, air and water pollution, and in some cases involution...this all comes back to the fact that there are more people living in the world today than there have been in the past.

Dou you like how has technology changed our world?Havr the changes has been positive or negative? why or?

Because of the technology, the world is now very different from the way it was in the past. Anyway, do you folks like the changes of the technology or not. As for me, i like the changes of the technology.|||Get to know them better. This is not a task only to be accomplished through dating. The more you get to know him or her, the more you can tell if you like them as a friend or something else. Just talk and do fun activities with the person.

Stop and consider why you like the person. There are many physically attractive and smart people out there. But if you see something beyond that really catches your attention, you%26#039;ve marked this person as unique and probably like them. Why else would they stand out from so many?

Consider how many times you think about the person. If you find yourself thinking about this person several times a day, and they are happy thoughts that possibly make your heart beat faster, then you probably like them.

Think how often you laugh at their jokes etc. When you like someone, you will find yourself laughing at things even if they aren%26#039;t that funny. This is a natural attempt to make them feel appreciated.

If the one conversation between you and the person is stuck in you head and you cant stop telling people about it. this means it was important to you, and you probably like the person.

Consider how much you try to be near them. If you%26#039;ve planned your walking speed to catch a glimpse of them as many times of the day as possible, there is a good reason for that.

Think about how you feel if you touch him or her, by accident or on purpose. If you%26#039;re still thinking about brushing shoulders several hours ago in school, then that is a special thought and you probably like them.

If you feel you%26#039;re ready for a relationship, and are confident enough for a positive response, then just go ahead and ask them out. If you%26#039;re unsure of their feelings for you, there are several wikihows on how to tell if someone likes you.

How do you think the world of technology will change in the next 10 to 100 years? ?

The world technology seems to change and grow every day. How do you think it will affect us in a 100 years, or the near future?|||It will over ride since all wiring ends up connected to the main board. There will be and over ride and a gigantic under ground explosion. Doesn%26#039;t it make you wonder why all of a sudden we now need a special box to watch tv and cable companies are giving you a 3 for all or why we must now go green to save energy..The thing is it%26#039;s kind of like cigarettes, instead of banding them they raised the prices and even more are smoking and dying...Same with technology they with expand and so will the users so as in dying the usage of energy will increase even though we went green the double increase will cause an over-load and thus will be the destruction of man by his own technology......Blessings Yahoo|||i think life will be faster and more simple yet more complicated thanks to the technology. id like to see us wearing simple uniform clothing that has built in internet and communication devices. interesting vehicles would also be a must.

Does anyone know about Changing World Technologies?

This company has been able to take food waste and produce sweet crude oil from it. Why are we not aggressively pursuing this?|||They are, within the limitations of capital investment and technology. The cost of doing this is very high and $130 oil is still cheaper.

The US Bureau of Mines took garbage and made it into coal in minutes back in the 60%26#039;s. Why didn%26#039;t that technology catch on ? Cost compared to the alternatives.|||However it is true that economics drives most activities in the world. It is also true that when economics makes it possible, there will always be some bright technical type to solve the problem. The only barrier to this is usually govt deciding that they know best and restraining innovation.

How do you feel about change?

How have you changed your world?

How have you changed personally?

How you react to and handle change?|||I have a love-hate relationship with change. I love the anticipation %26amp; excitement and I hate the uncertainty.

I change the world I live in by being an active, passionate, engaged participant. I don%26#039;t live on the sidelines and watch the world go by! I jump in and make a difference (at work, at home, right now by answering this question...in a million small ways every day). In the act of doing all this--I change too. A week ago I had never participated in any online community...now I can%26#039;t stop answering questions or posting them :-) A year ago I had never heard of an IPOD (yes thats how out of it I can be!) and now it travels with me everywhere. One is an example of how the changing world is encouraging me to reach out and communicate with total strangers in cyberspace and the other is an example of how the changing world is making me more isolated from interactions with others in the real world (as I listen to my own private music instead of talking to those around me on planes and trains!).

What are the best internet sites to learn from and keep up on the changing world of computers and technology?

Is technology changing the world too fast?

i have to held a speech for 3 minutes about this question.

can you gimme some ideas please ..

thank you very much in advanced|||We all know how much technology influences us, but few understand how dramatically technological innovations are affecting our world. The Barna Research Group recently conducted a study that gives some insight into how newer technology is perceived by age groups and how that technology is being utilized. One interesting perspective that the study found was this:

%26quot;All Americans are increasingly dependent on new digital technologies to acquire entertainment, products, content, information and stimulation. However, older adults tend to use technology for information and convenience. Younger adults rely on technology to facilitate their search for meaning and connection. These technologies have begun to rewire the ways in which people - especially the young - meet, express themselves, use content and stay connected.%26quot;

Although most Americans have adapted to the use of newer technology like the Internet, cell phones and iPods, not everyone uses them in the same way. These differences are likely no more apparent than among those our ministry reaches out to -- college students. College students seek and share information, connect with current friends, make new acquaintances, find entertainment outlets and even search for answers to life%26#039;s deepest questions through modern technology.

The world is rapidly changing and it is hard to keep up with all the new gadgets and updates that seem to come out on a monthly basis. For us, it is imperative that we learn about current technology and the role that it plays in the lives of people of all generations. A resistance to adapt to modern technology will only lead to one thing -- irrelevance.

Changing Technology World

Max Frisch said, %26quot;Technology is the knack of so arranging the world that we do not experience it%26quot;. The changing technology world seems to support his claim. Life is becoming mechanical as it is fast-paced. Movies like Matrix and Matrix Reloaded and the Terminator Trilogy demonstrate the possible threats to humanity by “intelligent machines”. Advanced technology produces a host of social, ethical and moral issues like cloning humans, creating humanoids who would soon replace human companions, performing and using genetic tests and many more.

Theodosius Dobzansky says, %26quot;There is no doubt that human survival will continue to depend more and more on human intellect and technology. It is idle to argue whether this is good or bad. The point of no return was passed long ago, before anyone knew it was happening%26quot;. This is unarguably true, especially when we consider the changing technology world. Given below are some examples of present and future innovative technology that will change our perspective and impact our lives significantly.

Global Positioning Satellite System

The global positioning satellite system is a space-based navigation system with 24 artificial satellites orbiting the earth. The GPS provides accurate information about the position, velocity and time of the user anywhere in the world and in any weather condition. Known in the past as Navstar Global Positioning System, it was developed in 1973 and is operated and maintained by the United States Department Of Defense (DOD). The GPS is a system that overcomes the limitations of existing navigation systems and its capabilities are accessible using small inexpensive equipment. The GPS consists of three parts: satellites, control devices on land and receivers that are carried on crafts or in hand.

Space Technology

Space shuttles are used to deploy scientific satellites and transport human and equipment to space stations. The shuttle was to be used as a reusable rocket and spacecraft. Russian and American scientists are also working to complete the International Space Station by the year 2006 hoping that the ISS will provide a more permanent laboratory in space. Shuttles are necessary for the completion of ISS. But the shuttles may retire by 2010, as the scientists are developing new shuttle replacement vehicles after the Columbia tragedy. One such vehicle is the Single Stage To Orbit (SSTO) vehicle with one rocket engine that can be directly sent from earth into orbit. NASA is developing shuttle-like vehicles that may be employed as the shuttle replacement vehicles or shuttle replacement. One such possibility is a space plane that would act as an emergency rescue vehicle.

Innovative Technology

Underwater Robot

Undersea explorer Robert Ballard is heading the exp|||yeah, in these past few years, the internet has been ruling the world. before only the priviledged would have access to computers, phones, etc. now everyone does.|||yes technology is changing the world very fast. examples are internet, 3g system, laptops, web camera, computer sharing. you can elaborate these examples in ur words to support ur speech.
