New Aircraft Technology In WW2

“ I know I shall meet my fate somewhere amongst the clouds above, those that I fight I do not hate, those that I guard I do not love.”(Memphis Belle)

The advancements in aircraft in world war two changed the way war was fought. Bombing helped make world war two a mobile war, aircrafts were used as a means of transportation, and lastly technology improvement in aircraft helped win the war.

Bombing helped make world war two a mobile war. Air forces in U.S. and Europe realized that bomber planes were extremely powerful weapons. They also realized that they could destroy an enemy nation, so the fear of this caused a lot of countries to develop bomber planes. France neglected their air force so France was basically out of the war. So because of this, Germany could focus on bombing Britain. Germany put their bomber planes near the English channel and they were able to raid England with a lot of success. In 1940, Germany was forced to attack Britain with big bombers like the Heinkel but these were overloaded bombers thst because of their size, were way too slow. In the batlle of Britain, Germany didn’t produce any good long ranged mission bombers and so because of this, Germany was shot down in large numbers and were unable to do much damage to cities and military-industrial targets to Britain. In the Spanish civil war, Germany showed that bombing using Stuka’s is a great way to bomb.

Aircrafts were used as a means of transportation. One big use of transport planes is mass parachuting, which the soldiers drop out of the transport planes and parachute down. In the 1930’s The Soviet Union first created mass parachute drops. The first mass parachute drop was done by the Luftwaffe. 15, 000 parachute troops landed, by 80 gliders and 700 transport planes. Gliders were created in world war two but stopped being developed after the war was over.

Technology improvement in aircraft helped win the war. Air forces in U.S. and Europe realized that bomber planes could destroy an enemy nation quickly in submission, so the fear of this caused a lot of countries to develop bomber planes. Superiority in the air was very important to the outcome of world war two. The biggest factor to the outcome of the war were single-seat fighters.

They had very powerful engines, and it was made perfect for compact, and low-drag installation. The countries that had the best fighter planes were, Britain, Germany, and U.S., but the only exception was Japan because their fighter were so light but strong and they had an engine that wasn’t as good as the other countries. The only downside of it was that it was vulnerable to damage in the battlefield.

In conclusion, a lot of these factors were affected by the new aircraft technology that was made during world war two.

ok also can you help me out on anything like addiing stuff to it or changing it...thx p.s. im in grade 10

Not bad, but a couple of things need changing. Change all %26quot;aircrafts%26quot; to aircraft. TRANSPORT Gliders were created in WW2. What does %26quot;and it was made perfect for compact, and low-drag installation%26quot; mean - reword. The first mass parachut drop IN WAR was done by the Luftwaffe. Descripe what a Stuka is (a precision dive bomber).
